Can't wait...will be in PR in one week! Will be staying in Ponce and am wondering best places to eat... not fancy but good. We've heard about an ice cream shop for really good ice cream in Ponce but not sure of the location...can anyone help? Thanks. |

The ice cream shop is just in front of the Old Fire House, just cross the street. They make their own more sherbet like than (milk) ice cream... I love the Passion fruit one and the coconut! La Casa de las Tias is very good for lunch, at night for dinner & drinks. Mark's at the Melia is great for dinner (upscale) Pito's Sea food (El Tuque / Road #2) for seafood. | ||||||

Caveat: Bring light clothes... Ponce is quite warm! | ||||||

Great Places to eat in Ponce: Breakfast - Tompy, Florida Bakery and NY Delights Lunch - Cafe Tomas, Chef Creations, Blankita's, Cafe Cafe and also Tompy Dinner - Rincon Argentino, Cafe Tomas, La Casa del Chef, Maria Bonita, Comere, Pito's, Kabuqui, Ponce Hilton's Sanchos Sushi Bar. Many places to visit in Ponce and very close to do some day trips to the west side of PR. | ||||||
