My daughter & I are looking for someplace to go and relax and enjoy some warmth (We are from Minnesota & she attends college in Wisconsin).

I really do not want to rent a car - but from what I read - it looks like it would be necessary.

Is there any place one could stay & get by without a car?

Not in Ponce. Caribe Hilton Hotel is close to the beach, close to old San Juan, close to good restaurants night life and places of interest such as museums, colonial forts, shops, historic buildings, etc. Just a 10 minute walk to the Condado area . Public transportation available - buses & taxis. Car Rental just in front of hotel.

Would help to know in which activities you are interested .
