Can anyone tell me where you pick up the ferry to Old San Juan. How much, when it runs etc?

The ferry doesn't go to Dorado, it goes to Cataño. Cataño is at the southern side of the SJ Bay (this is where the Bacardi Plant is located). I think it is around $1.00. Cataño is around 30 minutes from Dorado.

You can also take the ferry to Hato Rey (Financial District) from there then take the train to the southern and western suburbs of SJ. Dorado is around 30 minutes from Bayamón, the closest station to Dorado.

You can pick the ferry at Cata~no. It goes back and forth every 30 min. and more frequently at rush hours. The first trip is about :30 am and the last one about 9:00 pm. There is a cheap municipal parking lot in Cata~no where you can leave you car very close to the pier. The ferry to Hato Rey financial district is not working right now because of sediment in the channels.

If driving from Dorado, follow Rt 693 thru the town, make a left on Rt 165. It will take you along the cost and straight into Catano. You will see the ferry teminal on your left side (driver side). There is a parking, cost is $3.00. Ferry runs every 30 minutes and the cost is .50cents each way. Have fun!
