Is topless/nude sunbathing allowed in Jamaica on beaches and around hotel pools? If not, do people still do it anyway? I would love to go somewhere where it is NOT allowed, this would make my holiday much more relaxing. Would love to hear from anyone with any suggestions as to where I could go.

I don't think they allow topless sunbathing at either the north or south poles.

nice question, jaspercat.

I was wondering the same thing. A little scared to ask among so many people excited about it. I want to have a relaxing trip, but honestly nude beaches make me uncomfortable.

Do people go nude everywhere? I will be visiting Negril, Port Antonio, and Montego Bay. I am getting the impression that there will be topless people everywhere. Is this true?

Thanks!

SeaLeah

Oh, yeah...

I'd like to know how to avoid it in these places as well.

Thanks again so much.

The only place I saw topless sunbathing was at Margaritaville Negril, and you really had to look to notice. It's not like people are actually running around undressed.

Nudity is not everywhere! Only certain resorts allow nudity in full, while most places will have their share of topless ladies. Don't be uptight, just go and enjoy..remember, you dont HAVE to look if you don't like!

starfish trelawny has a SEPARATE (guest choice) island that is far from 'wandering eyes'. It is small, no bar, bring your own towel and chair..

Just came back from Starfish and they have no topless sunbathing allowed anywhere on the resort unless you go to the nude beach which is off to the side of the regular beach area and seperated by a bamboo wall. You never have to even walk by it if you don't want to. Hope this helps.

We stayed at Club Ambiance in Runaway Bay and some of the ladies were topless. Usuall if it is an all adult resort it is legal. Also stayed at Ledgends in Negril where there were kids but some of the ladies went topless there also.

Honestly there are very few topless people. I'd say maybe 85% of the women are NOT topless. The other 15% pretty much stay lying down sunbathing. If they get up its not like they are running around exposing them selves. They usually cover themselves up before getting a drink or to swim. It really is no big deal. Relax and enjoy!
