Hi yes - I am going end of August. Wanted to know if you can get room service in the rooms. I am booking a junior suite. Also i am travelling there for a quiet break with boyfriend - are there any adult only bars and restaurants?

It is one of the choices we are looking at for next April '09.

Was wondering what the beach looked like? How was the food, etc.

I am booking flight and hotel seperately. Is there a Riu desk at airport so that i can get free shuttle?

Hey Shayshi, welcome back, I tried to spot you but nothing gave me a hint that it might be you. We had a great time, how was your holiday. Gee maybe we met and didn't know it.........We hung out at the activity pool mostly but we did visit over at the quiet pool. Good to hear from you.

There is no room service, but if you are booking for a wedding they do deliver some things to your room for the special day.

Unfortunately, nothing was adults only, we had our daughter with us (tween) and she was able to go everywhere with us.

DDF, the beach is very nice and clean however if you are one to wander for miles each way without obstructions, this is not possible. Better off in Negril for that.

ShortyUK7 - there is no Riu desk at the airport and they will not pay for shuttle service. They will set up shuttle for you, which they did for us with a private driver and we got there almost an hour earlier than the big bus - so I'd recommend a private driver. I honestly don't think you have to arrange this in advance. The minute you exit the airport - you will be bombarded with people wanting to transfer you. We paid $100 for 4 people. I've read other reviews where it was haggled down for cheaper. We felt $100 was reasonable - especially since their gas prices are outrageous. But you could always yell, "Who will take us to Riu Ocho Rios for .... (whatever)."

sorry been away from computer,hjoic,hi ,my reviews not gone on for some reason,we had a great time we must have seen you at the pool,Mine was the little blonde boy,my older son was a bit bored by the 2nd week.everyone else the beach is great but there were a lot of cig buts,yuk.Hotels breathtaking,foods yummie,staff friendly,drinks great,weather fantastic. The not so good,air con not very cold,pillows like bags of apples,some loud guests,but thats all the good outways the bad 10 times over.anything else?
