sorry no one responded yet. i'm very familiar with Portland but never traveled with kids so i'm not familiar with places that would cater for them.... We did like San San Tropez, although we didn't stay there, we did go there often to eat at their restaurant (they have great Italian food). they have a pool - which i thought a kid his age would like and are also a quick distance to walk to Frenchman's cove (the entrances are across each other). It is also close to san san beach and the blue lagoon, you could walk but it is too dangerous to walk those small narrow roads, with all the speeding and crazy drivers...

i believe Ohliz have been there with her own kid (if it was her), and perhaps she will see this and respond as well.

other places nearby are also Fern Hill (beside san san tropez) and Goblin hill on the other side of the villas from Blue Lagoon (perch on the hill side)

i have put all the places, and the beaches and all on a good map, you can just click on the names of the places on the left hand side and it will show you where they are. makes it easy to pin point a place and where it is compare to other places etc...
