What is Christmas & New Years like in Negril. We have never been away at Christmas so this is a first for us. It's just my husband and I and we are not staying at an all inclusive resort. Do we need to worry about reservations over the holidays?

Hi Mipper,

My husband and I where in Negril last December. December 2nd to be exact. The resort was beautifully decorated. However we weren't there for December 25th. I do know that Christmas and New Years is considered peak season so I would like you might want to make reservations ahead of time.

Sorry I don't have more input.

You can always get a room in negril(i like to plan in advance). New years eve is real crowded on the beach. A lot of locals come out. There r fireworks. Its real cool. Me and the wife will be there 2nd year in a row. have fun

Hi mipper,

We stayed at Hedo II last Christmas and it was wonderful. They had a full out party on Christmas eve that lasted to the wee hours of the night. I was surprised early Christmas morning the entertainment staff was out Caroling around the entire resort. It was just like christmas here in the states -minus the cold and snow. (didn't miss that) They went all out for Christmas that's why we decided to go back for New Years. We happened to get to JA on Christmas eve and the streets were packed with people. Everyone was partying in the streets! It was so cool. It took us longer to get to the result but it was a great sight to see. Our driver made a couple of stops for drinks and a bathroom break. We toured Negril and didn't have to pay extra!
