I am "newly single" who is looking for a place to get away from it all and have a good time with no inhibitions. I am over 50, average in every way, but open to having fun and not offended by very much.

Age will not be a problem at Hedo and I'm sure you will have fun. Go and enjoy!

Visit these 2 sites for more info...there are forums and trip reports like here at TA, but specific to Hedo. There are lots of threads for singles, you can use the search feature to look for those.

www.4hedonism.com

PM us for more info on the resort if you like.

We will be there Nov 7-16, 2008.

You don't need to be limiting yourself to staying at Hedo. There is a lot going on in Negril along the main beach and many more less expensive resorts to choose from that will be within walking distance of nightlife, bars & restaurants. Hedo is somewhat removed from this and a taxi ride to anything to do off the resort. I'm 50+ and always have a blast when staying on the main beach. Give it a little more consideration. Have a look at www.negrilinfo.com

I'm a 40+ single male and while I have never been to Hedo I agree with Blues Pirate. Lots of places to see on the lower beach including live reggae concerts every night to enjoy. As a single, solo traveler I wouldn't want to limit myself to just staying at Hedo for an entire week.

If I really wanted to just experience Hedo then I think I would be more into purchasing a day/evening pass to the property.

I am a newly widowed (Dec of last year) (almost 50) female and my husband and I used to split all of our trips between hedo and someplace else in negril.

I'm going back in Nov, and even though I love the "real negril", I'm leary of staying there alone at this time.

However, I will be sure to take a taxi to some of my favorite spots to see old friends, which are mostly folks that go to the the wwww.realnegril.com live webcasts at various places in Negril during the week!

Wherever you choose to stay in Negril you will have a blast! It is truly a wonderul place!

I think I'll just feel more "secure" at Hedo for this trip!

Also, check out www.negril.com (great folks there for sure!), and I'm FFG or flfungal on those boards and webcasts!

Oh, one more place to check, www.negrilonestop.com

Happy planning!!!

Check out this book by Chris Santilli. Good reading about what you can expect at Hedo:
