It was all I dreamed of! Lobster was AWESOME! So awesome that we went twice in one day. :)

Someone on this board described it as a bunch of guys having a cookout that never left. PERFECT DESCRIPTION! :)

Robert was entertaining. Paid $20 per lobster....at first he tried to say $30 but we bargained. It was about a 15 minute walk from CN....go out and take a right on the beach.

Plenty of vendors nearby selling crafts. Cookie was nice...bought two sets of earrings and a cool bracelet for $20. :)

Thanks to all that suggested this place! :)

venusdemilo, Yes we do like to travel !! Funny though I don't know many people who have gone to Jamaica. And most of our friends are quite shocked when we say we are going there.?? When they see our photos when we come back and if we get to experience

what all the people on this forum talk about....we might start an Aussie trend..??

Cheers

Why November? Isn't that the start of your warm season?

n8urist,

yes it is the start of our summer. We were planning to go earlier this year, but we run our own truck haulage business and had a few problems with drivers this year, and the cost of fuel... it just happend a bit later than first planned.

Plus we've been to tropical north in Aust and just wanted to go someplace different and special.

And Negril fit that bill for me !!

Plus we're stopping over in Anaheim for a week to take our daughter to Disneyland for her birthday!

so a big family trip.

looking forward to it so much

Cheers

I'm sure you'll enjoy Anaheim, and know you'll enjoy Negril. And yes, lobster will be in season for your trip.

Thank-you n8urist.

our lobster(well they're called crayfish here) season is so very short and they are sooooo expensive, usually $60-80 for a whole cray, so REALLY looking forward to LOTS of fresh cooked Lobster on the beach.

cheers

Office of Nature question. Last year when I was in Negril I stayed at SATP. Repeating it again this Nov. I saw vendors that were almost parked on the property of SATP, people said that was Office of Nature. So I'm confused with the topic of lobster. I have heard about the guys that BBQ there but didn't see them. Do I need to walk down the beach more? I would love to experience and afternoon hanging out eating lobster.

The guys are set up next to the vendors but behind them. 100ft from SATP property line, turn right. It's not anything elaborate, just a canopy and place to sit down.
