My wife and I will be there on 2-9 thru 2-13 to Sandals Grande. KG, please remember that these reviews are opinions and therefore they are free, so you are not obligated to accept them as law, including this one. I've read some of the same negative reviews, however, for every bad one, there's atleast 4 or 5 good ones. Remember, there has never been a statue erected in honor of a critic. So, go there with an open mind and formulate your own opinion on how you want your trip to be. If you go there with the attitude that no matter what you are going have a great time, then your mind will begin to search for ways and ideas that relates to having a good time. However, the mind works the same if you go there thinking "I'm nervous, I'm not sure about this place...etc,etc. KristiG- it's your vacation, you set the atmosphere.

You are absolutely right, thank you. I guess because this is our first "big" trip without the kids and we are splurging on it, I just want it to be great. I guess when you put things into perspective we will be in Jamaica in February instead of cold NJ! Thanks again for letting me see, the good time is up to us. Have fun on your trip!

I think its worth looking at the Beaches Grande Sport as well as Sandals as they have now merged.

We went to the Melia Caribe in Dominican and had similar nervousness due to negative reviews, but had the holiday of a lifetime.

I believe like the previous post - when it comes to having a great time attitude is the key ingredient.

Thanks for quoting me JonnyBGood! I am new to this forum and it has been so helpful. That quote really comes from experience. We took our daughter on a cruise last June for her graduation. We had never been on a cruise and wanted to drive to the port, Galvestion was the closest. The ship that we had booked was one of the older and smaller ones. Needless to say, a lot of the reviews were negative. I finally determined that we were going to have a good time no matter what, we were celebrating a time in my daughters life that was special to her and us. Most of the negative critics always complained about outdated rooms, old carpet, etc. If they chose to stay in their outdated room looking at the worn carpet all day, that is their choice. I choose to get out and experience another culture and have the time of my life.

hi married at SOR nov. 1996 returned may 2003 and will go again nov. 2006 10th aniversary thats how much we love this resort. have been to other realy nice resorts st. luica ,antigua ect. five other sandals resorts .sandals knows how to do it right ! but like everything there is no guaranties in live that everthing will be purfect ,go with an open mind. its not the states or canada their standards, culture and way of life is very different from us .having said all that, we love jamaica and this resort .our favorit buiding is the one on the beach close to everthing go and enjoy signed carolyn
