Looking into signing up for this tour and had a couple questions.

- Do you have to hold hands with the group to go up the falls? It's not that I have a problem holding hands with people, but I'd like to be able to go at my own pace and explore around.

- Is the cruise really worth the extra money as opposed to just taking a taxi to the falls?

- how long is the length of the trip?

Thanks for the help.

We did the falls with the catamaran as a group, and they asked us to hold hands but, my husband, myself and a friend that went with, we walked up the falls not holding hands with the others? I dont think it is a rule you must hold hands......most of the time I found easier to go w/out holding hands.

If you are referring to the Cool Runnings trip, we enjoyed it and it also includes snorkeling. If you don't care about snorkeling, no, it isn't worth the extra coin as the booze-cruise portion of the trip only lasts about 30 minutes.

They do push everybody to hold hands, but there is probably no reason that you can't stray from the group as long as you are back on the boat by the time everybody else is. Before you climb the falls, the captain will tell you when to be back on the boat.

Including transportation to/from the boat dock, it will take 4 hours.

If you took a taxi to the falls, it would probably only cost about $20 or so per head for the falls and taxi.

Just my 2 cents:

We took the party boat, and this tour was one of the highlights of our visit. The party boat was a blast. We snorkeled almost every day at SGOR. But the snorkeling from the party boat was a different reef. And it was, indeed, the best snorkeling we had all week. Both my wife and I agree that it was worth the extra money.

Thanks for the replies. I've decided to spend the extra money to do the party cruise to the falls -- it sounds like a blast!
