Oh dear!! doesn't sound promising, has something like this happened before in Jamaica? Maybe we could try and change hotels now, just in case> Any suggestions on any hotel of the same standards/quality as the Grand Palladium in easy reach of Sunfest, as its also our wedding anniverasy., So still wants something special.

The jury is still out on the 'standards/quality' and their advertising is very suspect in this regard. This resort is in Lucea which is 45 min. from Montego Bay. Lots of places to choose from in Montego Bay and/or nearby.

I read another thread on this hotel last night, I think its on pg 3 or 4, go back a little or do a search and your sure to find it, someone has posted recent pictures and it still looks like a construction site, someone who lives nearby said they would be lucky to be open by Christmas. Speak to your TA and get a switch, I cant possibly see how they could hope to open in 2 weeks time and at least you have the chance NOW to sort out alternative accommodation that your happy with instead of getting off the flight in M'bay and discovering that you have been ''bumped'' to another resort with no say in the matter.

"Spanish Resort chain" Should have know,got carried away by the glossy brochures. Lived in Spain for a few years and it was always Manan'a Manan'a. Dont know which is worse, Spanish manan'a or the relax Jamaican time ( !mi ssoon come!)

aaarrrgh!!!!!! the nightmare is never ending.Yes!! I agree, all the photos are computer generated. Christmas!! OH my god!! yes!! they will just bump us off to some hotel, need more local info on the progress, but it may be silly to wait. Need to change now.

divaKent_UK if you can switch perhaps look into the Ritz, it is only like 20 minutes from the airport & a real 5 star
