Where do I find the closest Resort in Kingston |

Where in Kingston are you interested in, and what exactly are you looking for?

Kingston is the business capital of Jamaica so there are hotels, such as the Hilton, Courtleigh, Knutsford Court and the Jamaica Pegasus that mainly cater to business travellers and would not have the variety of amenities that hotels on the coast would have nor the luxury of a beach nearby; however vacationers are welcome,. They are also located in the heart of the capital, which makes it convenient to night life and "eat out" areas (Kingston's Hip Strip). You can visit www.visitjamaica.com to see everything they have to offer and all the things that can be done, within and around the area. The closest resort areas would be Port Antonio and Ocho Rios, which are both 1 to 1&1/2 hours from Kingston. Hope this was helpful...all the best!!!

This was very helpful, I want the best of both worlds..watching cricket at Sabina Park and staying at a Resort but I dont want to book 2 place..it it safe after to game to grab a taxi and head back to Ocho Rios?

When is your trip? Here is the cricket fixture for 2005: http://www.cricketjamaica.org/season_2005.php On the fixture, you'll see Kaiser, which is sports in Discovery Bay, a little under half an hour from Grand Lido Braco (very nice resort). So if you're just interested in cricket, you can get best of both worlds with this option. However, if you want the grand cricket experience at Sabina, then check this site for roundtrip transfers from wherever you'll stay: There are taxis just outside of Sabina but you have to make sure they have red licence plates....basically take the same precautions you would in your own country. One Love!!!

Hello bsomai, I agree to try and get the best of two worlds. Especially if you have the chance to go to Sabina Park and see a cricket match. I will recommend two places. http://www.islandoutpost.com/interface.html After the match, spend the rest of you time at Goldeneye only a 90 minute drive from Strawberry Hill. You can now boast that you have been to two of the very best places in Jamaica. Here is another option. Fly into Kingston and drive 15 minutes to this hotel MORGANS HARBOUR HOTEL. Port Royal has an interesting history. Look for Buckaneers Roost Bar and get a speed boat out to Lime Cay island. Spend a few hours by yourself. This hotel has just had a major renovation. It has the very best views of the St Andrew and Red Hills mountain range. beachesparadise.com/Caribbean/morgans.html Enjoy a romantic setting and delicious dinner on their terrace. These are very special tips that I have just shared with you. This is not for the masses, so please enjoy it and do NOT spread the word.
