Is it just me or is anyone else getting a tad miffed about we Brits getting ripped off about anything you can name-------pensions, cars, hotels, restaurants etc etc? The latest one I've found is British Airways ( you know, it's the one the poor bloody tax-payer has bailed out a zillion times) well check this out. I planned to take the family to New York for new year; on the UK site British Airways charges a British family to travel out on 27 Dec and back on2 Jan 410 each ($750) but charges an American family travelling the same dates to and from London 210 each ($436)---that's nearly half-price for people paying with a very weak dollar!! And with fuel paid in dollars surely the Americans should be paying more?????

Anyway we are now going skiing in Austria instead and BA will NEVER get my money again ( I am aware ALL the transatlantic fares operate similarly but, for heaven's sake, the British carrier should play fare----the world's favourite my backside. I wrote to resign my executive club membership-----and am still awaiting reply 2 months on!
