You are right about Ocho Rios as probably being the place to go based on your described situation. I have done the drive from Kingston to Ocho Rios and I loved it. It goes through the mountains. I can't remember exactly how long the trip was, but I had a very good time (think 2 hours, give or take an hour :) ).

Unfortunately, I do not know of any drivers that do the Kingston to Ochi drive regularly, but someone here will.

ja! I did the exact same thing flabreezer and I've been searching for a few days now and I can't find transportation from Kingston to Ocho Rios. I just saw one but it's exapensive as they would charge us the same for 2 people of 4. I'll post again if I find anything. Have a nice trip!

Although I have not yet met them, I have been corresponding with them regarding my upcoming trip from Kingston to Port Antonio on July 8th.

Just through the emails, I can tell they are going to be very reliable and reasonable in their pricing.

Pricing comparisons I found from Kingston to PA ( PA is before you'd get to Ochi):

1) Warren/Kemar - $100, by the way, 3 to 3.5 hours to PA

2) The PA guest house I am staying is has a pick up rate of $120

3) www.clivestransportservicejamaica.com quoted $160 1 to 4 persons. (Clive's is very reputable and I have used them 6 times to Negril and will do so again this trip on the 4th)

I found this fellow by doing a limo seach on the Jamaican limo site. You can e-mail him at leberttours@hotmail.com . I don't what his price for a whole family. My wife and I aregoing to use him in Dec. He charged us 240.00 USD. He is taking us from kingston to Sandals dunn's River ad back to the airport.
