It could take several days to show up.

You could also put it here if you like.

Haha, great idea! Thanks... Here it is!!!

Getting there: We flew from Charleston, WV to Charlotte, NC and then on to Montego Bay. Nothing out of the ordinary, once we got into Montego Bay the process went very smoothly. There were no long lines and we made it into our room within 40 minutes of landing.

Checking In: We checked in with 2 other couples. As soon as we pulled up on the bus, staff members were there to get out luggage and instruct us on what to do. The bus driver made it a point to hold out his hand while we were getting off of the bus, but that is to be expected since he is contracted out. We were given rum punch and wet towls while we waited for our cards to be run through the system, in case we wanted to charge anything to the room. Just a word of advice, you do not have to give them a card, and do not give a debit card. My husband's mother works at our bank, and she discovered Sandals had charged out room about $1600 on accident. The front desk didn't seem to understand that since it was a debit card, the transaction would show up immediately. However, by the time we left, it was finally taken care of. No big deal!

Our room: Originally, we had booked the grande luxe semi-private pool view room. We were taken to our room, and SUPRISE, a river front suite! They told us that we had a complimentary upgrade! The room was wonderful and I can't wait to see the new river front suites!

Beaches: Sure, they aren't great, but they are still beautiful! We never had any problem finding a chair!

Food: The food overall was okay. My husband enjoyed it much better than I did. I am very picky when it comes to food and am not willing to try new stuff, but my husband loved the all the food. We were not impressed with the Royal Thai though. I had read so many reviews on how wonderful this place was and how great the service is, but we were not impressed, neither were other couples that were over there with us. To anyone who is impatient: the service at SRC (and I would assume Jamaica in general) is very slow! My husband would be done with one course 5 minutes after they brought it, and would have to wait another 15 minutes to get the next course!

Private Island: Our favorite place there!! We loved GlenRoy at the Swim Up bar, and especially the "secluded" (clothing optional) part of the island. Granted, it is not large at all, and you need to get over there are soon as the first boat comes in order to get chairs, but it is well worth it. The island did not have food, so we went to the gift shop and payed $20 for a few snacks to take over there just so we wouldnt have to leave! We met a few very friendly couples, there was no worrying about drunk old men making obscene comments. Occasionally you would have staff walking around picking up glasses, but they were very respectful! You must try this place out if it is your cup of tea, it was wonderful! Just be careful, the current can be strong, and once my husband and I accidentally drifted over the reef.... talk about a panic attack!!!!

Staff: The staff was absolutly wonderful... there was no one member who didn't stop to talk to us when we passed by them! Make sure to ask each of the bartenders their speciality! On the private island, make sure to try "A Taste of the Island", its wonderful!

Bugs: We brought so much bug spray and ended up giving it to friends that we had met there before we left. Not once did we even open up the spray. I had heard so much aboutbugs, I went as far as brining along a fly swatter!

Water sports: We did not participate in any of the water sports expect for the glass bottom boat ride. The boat is in need of some fixing up. The water was so swift, we weren't able to see anything and had to come back.

Entertainment: It was great, the games were all fun and the performers were a blast to listen to! The beach party was a lot of fun, espcially Leeeerrrooy, the fire eater!

Return: Everyone came to wave us good bye! All the staff helped load our luggage, even the management staff, which we thought was wonderful!

Our flight home was nothing like the one coming back.. We waited over 1.5 hours to get checked in at the US Airways counter, but they time we had reached the counter, out plane was loading! Luckily, customs, immigration, and security went quicker! We had to run to our flight, just to sit on the plane for another 20 minutes until it stopped pouring the rain! Finally, we got into Charlotte and had to run yet again to make our connecting flight to Charleston! Turns out, someone has ran the jetway into our airplane, so we had to get a replacement airplane. Finally we take off and are informed that we would be in charleston ahead of our schedule due to good headwinds... Boy were they wrong!!!! As we watched out the window, we begins to see the lights of charleston, over and over and over again! Turns out, we could not land there due to thunderstorms!!! Instead of flying to another airport, we have to turn around and go back to charlotte! By this time, it was going on 9:00 pm. We finally make it back to Charlotte, and find out that we MIGHT be able to get on another flight, the next day, but not until 2:00!! By the time all that was over and done with, it was going on 11:00pm, and we were both so angry and wound up, we ended up renting a car and driving 6 hours through the night to get to Charleston, and then another 3 hours to get home!

Just a tip, if you have to rent a car at any airport, make sure you ask about 1 way rentals! It amazes me that so many places require you to bring the car back! Why offer that in an airport!!! Hertz is the way to go!

Sorry for the long review! Hope it helps!!!!!

Forgot to mention that Jeremy Mutton was a very nice and well-liked man throughout Sandals Royal! He was a wonderful GM and he will be missed when we return next year!
