Hello everyone,

I'm thinking of going to B.P. Cayo Levantado but I'm getting a headache trying to get to the actual island. What have some people used and what is easier? I know there is a charter plane if you fly into Puerto Rico and if you fly into Santo Domingo you can have the bus, rental care or charter plane get you into the island. Should I book a flight from New York City or Philadelphia to Puerto Rico or Santo Domingo? Please help! I think if this continues to be a headache I will probably head back to Punta Cana. Thanks!

Hi,

I was in Samana at the end of April and stayed at the GBP Cayocoa. We flew from Toronto to Puerto Plata and then had a 3.5 hour bus ride to Samana. Can you not find any tour operators that fly directly to Samana? If you do this then you have just over an hours bus ride to Samana and then a quick boat ride to Cayo Levantado.

Hope you manage to sort out your trip as its so worth going there, we had a day trip to Cayo Levantado and its absolutely gorgeous!!
