We had an awesome time! The weather was beautiful, the beaches/ocean are amazing, the drinks were wet and the employees are a riot!! Very sad to be back in reality!

I heard of no one getting sick!! People were constantly cleaning and we saw "health officials" walking around checking things out. I wouldn't worry about the virus outbreak, they seem to have it under control. Have a great time! I'm sooo jealous!! :o)

Thanks so much for the encouragement-I'm glad you had a great vacation! We'll be going to one of the Riu's April 1st and we're really looking forward to it.

One more question-what's the dress code like for dinner at the buffet and a la cartes?

I'm not really sure about what type of dress code it is for the buffets but did see everyone semi-dressed up. The first time we went to the Bambu, we didn't know about the dress code and went in our shorts for dinner and got scoffed at. But then again we got scoffed at and booed at this trip also. Some of the other guests don't like the country where we live or maybe it was just us they didn't like...lol :o)

As far as the a la cartes go, I do know the men are suppose to wear long pants and dress shirt. If you decide to stay at the Bambu, try the Caribe a la carte, it's part of the Palace but Bambu (not sure about other Rius) guests can eat there for dinner but you have to wake up early to make reservations. I hope this helps and if you have any other questions please ask. We've been to the Bambu twice and Taino once.
