I'm going two weeks from tomorrow and had a question about "evening dress." If one wants to go to one of the nice restaurants, can women "get by" with wearing a blouse and cotton slacks? Or even shorts?? (We're bringing lots of gifts for the locals/staff and don't really have room to bring dressy clothes.)

Also, is it true that there's a sports bar there with satellite? We want to watch some of the NCAA games.

hey guys! great pictures!! we just booked yesterday and are going to STB in mid july. the resort looks great.

we are taking our two girls, 10&&. do you think they'll be bored?? is there much for them to do?? how was your experience with the food?? drink?? one big question: how long did it take to get to and from the airport? we have arranged for private transportation, and i was wondering if it was much more than an hour or so?? thanks again for the great picture album!!

Dress code is quite strict in most of the speciality restaurants, for instance, several guys were turned away for wearing open sandals. However smarts slacks and top for the girls would be OK if that is your choice, but suggest no trainers!

I think the disco doubles as a sports bar pre 11:30pm, they do have a projection TV screen but not sure what type of sports they show there, sorry.

Great for kids������. They have a specialist team to look after kids, they are easy identified by the special uniform and the AK47���s strapped on the shoulders! All kids can be found in a special compound at the top left of the complex called Explorers Club, easy found by the 8ft razor wire fence!!!!!!!

Seriously, they do cater well for kids, the explorers club has its own ���pirate ship���, pool & sand area as well as lots of other things. Also they get a film shown on a big screen several times a week and what we thought was a fantastic idea, each week they set up tents in the area & take the kids camping! They will have a great time, be prepared not to see them!

We went to La Romana airport (not our choice) transfer was 1-1/2 hours! The last �� hour on really bad roads, the resort is in the middle of nowhere. Good luck!

Wow, thanks for that, we'll always help if we can! Nice toiletries bag given on arrival, topped up by the maids, see the other recent post for more on this subject. No casino as yet, didn't see any sign of any construction either. Not really our scene, but we know of another couple who left the restaurant at 9:30 to catch the courtesy bus to go there. Hope this is some help!
