Are there alarm clocks in the rooms? We leave quite early in the morning and would like an alarm clock

No, there was no alarm clock in either our room, our friends' or people we spoke to at the restaurant. The front desk offered to wake us up. I'd take your own. I suspect that the Bavaro side is still getting up and running and that the Punta Cana side of the resort is better equipped

I use my sports watch and set the alarm on it - doesn't take up any room in your suitcase!

We stayed in the Hacienda Club. Clock radio and coffe maker in room. Hacienda Club is on the Bavaro side. Not sure why others did not have one. Might be a good idea then to take your own just in case.

I don't like alarm clocks on vacation either but we have to catch a early flight coming home and I don't want to miss it!

we had a alarm clock but the four other couples did not. one couple requested it and got it two days later. bring a watch with one or the wake up calls work all day!! always 5-10 minutes after you want them though dominican minutes are different than everyone elses! we where on the punta cana side in villa number 9 second floor

Sungodes - did you find your rooms close enough to everything - we arrive March 19 and from the maps villa 19 appears to be midway & a good location. We don't want to be too far away from the beach or main pool area but not too far away from restaurants which appear to be scattered.....Also, and no offense to families with children, but this trip we'd prefer to be away from children play/day areas, etc.

Any tips, info would be greatly appreciated as to your overviews of the room selections - note we are suppose to be Punta Cana side of the resort....

Gracias

Just got back (3/13/05). No alarm clocks, but the wake up call worked just fine.
