I wouldn't recommend it mr-raoul. It would probably be too big to keep in the safe and it would definitely not be safe just left in the room. Besides, you're on vacation. Leave the high tech world behind and enjoy!!

We're planning on taking ours. When traveling outside the US we always take it (along with local internet access numbers) so that we can be reached in case of emergency, keep in touch with our pet-sitters, etc. As long as your resort has free local calls it won't cost anything to keep in touch with those back at home.

Thanks for the laptop information. I always take my laptop on vacation, I am... ummm a writer, and writing is what I enjoy doing when I am relaxing on vacation. Leaving for PC March 16... staying at the Ocean Blue... can't wait.

22 days - 22 hours - 58 min for departure.

Hi,

We were there over christmas and our teens took a laptop and left it hooked up in there room all week. They like to have music and games, with them. We didn't even think it wouldn't be safe to leave it in the room. We had no problems.

Have a nice trip.

I was thinking about it so I could download my photos from my camera but I decided against it in fear of loosing it, dropping it, or having is stolen even though the rooms are equiped with safe's. I just hope my camera stores a lot of photos. Does anyone know on average how many photos a 256 card will hold?? I've never got to that point.

Keep dem cards and letters coming !

Bring your laptop! Why wouldn't you my friend brought his and had no problems leaving it in the room, not all Dominicans are criminals, contrary to what the people here may think...some hotels have wifi, probably most...check with your hotel to find out....if you want to bring it , bring it....
