The Outback Jungle Safari Jeep ride is AWESOME and well worth every penny....you get to see the country side, a dominican home/village, eat sugar cane, drink....swim on a private beach on the carribbean side of the island, and so much more...it's so fun and I've been on it two different times and would do it again!! I think it's around 80$ US.

went on the seonia island trip last july fantastic day , you go on a catamaran to island then on way back you get to go on speed boat , my kids loved it , also out back safari was brilliant . try seona island review forum and outbacksafari.com for details . we really enjoyed these trips and would recommend them . hope this helps .angiexxx

how far are these excursions from punta cana??? also did anyone go the the ocean park which has the dolphin swims etc not the manitee park locally i believe this one is a bit further away thanks and enjoy your trip

Angie's right. Saona Island was a great excursion. Mostly if it's a sunny day. However, be aware that it's a long drive to get there. From Ocean Cana it took us about 2 hours to get to the point where you take the catamaran (or speed boat). But you are in a comfortable bus and looking out is fun.

We also did the Bavaro Runner witch is the same trip as the Safari described by the fellow (sugar can field, visit in a local house, carabean beach, visit in a cigar manufacture). Alex, our guide, is apparently the best. He was very funny and interesting.

Yes, they are expensive but worth it. They are part of my good souvenirs. If I had to choose only one, it would be Saona.
