My fiance and I are thinking about getting married in November in Punta Cana. We need some help with resort choices. We were thinking maybe The Grand Palladium Resort & Spa, The Iberostar Bavaro all suite resort, or possibly the Paradisus Punta Cana. We are guessing that possible 20 people may accompany us along with some children. Which place has the most impressive grounds/buildings and has an abundance of activities, bars, etc.? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also, if you were married in Punta Cana or were there for a wedding we would be interested in your feedback. Thanks :-)

We are getting married at the end of January at the Melia Caribe.

They have a beautiful dome gazebo. And I have heard that the grounds are breathtaking.

I think the Paridisus also has a gazebo. I think the Paridisus is more expensive than the Melia or the Iberostars.

I will let you know how the wedding goes.

Thanks for your reply. How did you decide on the Melia Caribe? Did you look into other resorts as well?

We looked at a bunch of other resorts.

We chose the Melia based on a few things.

One we LOVED the gazebo and the horse and carriage. And it seemed that it was more private than the gazebo by the beach that the Iberostar resorts have. I didn't like the idea that some guy in a speedo might be in some of my photos.

Second, some golf was included.

Third, it is a big resort and lots of restaurants. I figured this might be a plus, as Punta Cana, there really isn't a town so to speak. I figured it might give my guests something more to do.

That is about it.
