Ye.............s . Tickets finally arrived today!! So I know we are finally going and I can start packing this weekend. Now I'm really excited and more giddy than normal!

I will be able to sleep better hopefully not worrying about not getting them. Although now I'll be worrying about remembering everything else. I shall now write a list and tick off as they go in case. Bubba keg top priority of course!!

Thanks for the advice and support from you lot who have sympathised and put up with my moaning.

Only 10 days to go ...........................

yeah, i was just talking to my wife about some vabulary and thought maybe you saw i was from manchester, Connecticut (US) that is. Although I like Football (soccer) the Manchester United team is not my favorite. So I am assuming that biddies are "old lady's..." ok got it. And barmy, described to me as mad as a hatter. I am still confused as hell on that one! A hatter??!!?!? Some one who wears a hat maybe? I wear a hat from time to time, am I a hatter? I do not know if there are carnations in the DR but I may have to bring a silk one on the trip with me. I do have 2 tattoos on my upper arms so maybe that may be good enought to locate me? I am young enough and had been a bartender for a few years in a previous life that I cannot be embarrassed much...

Toms, I think the phrase "mad as a hatter" is from times past when the glue etc that they used in the Hattery turned them nutty.

Right Mark now have got hubby interested!! That takes some doing. He wants to know what sort of age group do you 2 fit into? have you any kids, what sort of work do you do? Nothing on your profile. Shame on you!! I take it you will have read up on me!

You mention Tattoos . What sort of picture am I looking for just in case you forget the carnation? I don't want to be gawping at everyone round the pool - they might think I am strange (what??????)

Yes I know I am strange but people over there don't know that yet!

Just give me a clue please.

I live in anticipation!!!!

Ps is your wifey barmy too then??

nope gawpy, no idea. Both my wife and I are 27, no kids as of yet. I have a frog on my right arm and a sun on my left. Nothing too interesting. I am a combo outside salesman/engineer. I also teach kids about fishing and environmental awareness and have started to help teach culinary classes at a local cooking store. My wife right now is working part time for one of my customers doing purchasing and building some cables, but by trade she does medical billing. We are both pretty reserved by nature but we can both get pretty loud pretty quick when alcohol is involved. Neither one of us really drinks too much and both have a hard time drinking rum. Both have stories of overdosing on the rum back in our college days. You will have to help us get back into the swing of it. Not I keeping hearing yall talk about "bubba kegs", what in the world are those? It is kind of funny to me that almost every review the macao has is from visitors from your planet (lol). Why is that? Does it appeal more to the "european" style?

Havn't got a clue if they all come from my planet. I doubt it I think I'm on one of my own most of the time!!

I can't beleive you don't know about bubba kegs - you being American.I'd never heard of them till I got on this forum. They are insulated mugs - you use them around the pool and on the beach to keep your drinks cool and so sand and bugs don't get in them.

Theres loads of threads on here about them I'm sure you must have noticed. Better be quidk and go and buy a couple before you go.
