Just wondering if people generally find that a 2 week vacation is too long in the DR. I have only ever travelled for 1 week and find it to be a bit short.

We are considering the Secrets Excellence or Sunscape Beach, but are concerned that we might get a bit bored after 2 weeks. Is there enough to do, and/or enough restraunts, etc to keep it interesting?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

A week at each hotel seems the answer:)

I've considered three weeks but the Tour Operators price it way out of reach.

Two weeks is definately not too long IMHO.

If you want to spend two weeks in one location, I agree with sqcalgary, do one at each resort. Personally I would go to 2 differenet places. My husband and I just got back from Secrets. It was a great resort but we were ready to come home after 7 nights.

Personally, we find 2 weeks great. The first week is usually full of excitement and fun, and then the second week is usually for relaxing and enjoying the sun/beach/water. But it's really up to you!!!:)

We usually go for two weeks. It takes us a few days to really wind down. Then we really enjoy ourselves for the rest of our holiday. By the end of the two weeks I feel like I've had a great vacation and am ready to return home. I find one week a bit of a tease.

I agree that two weeks is great! We go every year for two weeks. The first couple of days we take it easy then we plan our excursions for late the first week and early into the second week so that we can really relax just before coming home. We spend the whole two weeks at one resort but chose a different resort each year.
