We've been looking for a place to spend our honeymoon in April, and are being fairly picky. The Sunscape Beach looks like it offers a lot for a very low price (ie honeymoon suites, etc. seem much cheaper than elsewhere). Is this because of the fact that it is a brand new resort and they are trying to entice people to come?

Also, what are people's thoughts about going to a resort that is so new? I am a bit scepticle since I cannot find any reviews of the place as it is not yet open.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

Wait until next year and see if you think either BP or Sunscape the Beach are cheap.

My reservation at Secrets was recently switched to Sunscapes, The Beach. My trip is in late December but I'm clueless about this location and seek any help and advice. I'd like to remain at Secrets mostly because I know nothing about Sunscapes. Any thoughts?xx

My sister and I stayed at the Sunscape Tulum in Feb 04. I couldn't speak higher of the staff and the services the resort offered. The food was excellent, there were plenty activities and best of all, no wrist bands therefore no odd tan and no reservations at the restaurants, which meant there was no limit on the number of times you could go, unlike other resorts. I liked it so much that my boyfriend and I will be heading to Sunscape The Beach over Christmas. Hoping for as good of experience as before. Right now the prices are low, since it is new, so grab it!

Hi Dolphins..Since you are in the neighborhood, do you think the new Sunscape will actually be open by Dec 3rd? Have you been by the site recently? We are going then and are crossing our fingers.

Sandytoes. I have been talking to SellOffVacations, Conquest Tours, and Sunscape Resorts. They have all called me back and assured me that the resort will still be open on December 1st. There are four of us going on December 4th and I was looking forward to going thinking that they would have had a month to iron out the "newness"of the resort. But they all specifically said that it would be 100% operational as per the brochure and website information that is available. I asked one more time - "Does that mean every bar, facility, sport, etc???" and they all said yes. I guess we will see. You will know who we are - we all lay on the floaties in the pool and practice drunken synchronized swimming - HAHAHAHA. Maybe that's why everyone at Secrets Excellence last year kept eyeing us strangely!!!!

Hello

I have kept in touch with them too and they still claim Dec 1st. We are going Dec 4 as well. Are you flying out of YYZ-Toronto? If so what time is your flight? We are leaving at 6am - hopefully I can stay awake for the first night!!!! I hope everything is up and running as well. I printed off all the descriptions of the resort to take with me for prove of what they say they have. I am looking forward to watching the movie on the beach. It will be my 31st birthday on Dec 8th, I can't decide what to do. Any ideas! This is only our 2nd trip ever. Only 8 more sleeps - well 7 cause I am not sleeping the Friday we fly out we have to leave my house at 2 am.

Hey Can't wait and Kymee, do me a favor and let us know how your trips turned out? My family heads out Boxing Day on the same flight 6am ( Skyservice-I understand it is an "Elite Flight", wide leather seats, champagne service etc..). Our contact just yesterday told us that Sunwing assured them that the opening is on schedule and as you say will be 100% up and running. I'd love to hear it directly from you guys when you get back, spare no details. (rooms, pool, bars, beach, general tips....)

Have a blast and have a cervasa (however you spell it) for me!

Ola!
