I stayed at this property about 3 years ago and had a great stay and pretty decent food for an All Inclusive. Has anyone stayed here within the last 3 or 4 months? How is the condition of the property and the swimming pools? has the quality of the food remained the same or has it gone down in quality?

Hi Geoman,

Just arrived back today from IHD. THe food was wonderful, the property was clean and well maintained, the groundsmen work tirelessly. The pool is slowly being refurbished with a few missing moisac tiles being replaced here and there. The beach is clean and the people are all geat. Wish I lived there or won the lottery, would go back tomorrow.

Maureen

Nice to hear that you had a great vacation!

The beaches were cleaned actually very fast after all the storm activities we had in September.

Happy travel

Denise

I just got back from there this past Saturday (10/25/08) and cannot say enough good things about this place. The food is phenomenal and the beach is one of the best I have ever seen. Clean and beautiful hotel with very friendly staff. I would recommend it without any hesitation. Our room was large and quiet, with a nice view and balcony.

The only down side (although not a problem for me) would be that most of the other guests are not American and do not speak English. Most of the staff speaks some English, so between my little bit of spanish and their English, we got by. I found the other hotel guests to be rather stuffy and not the least bit friendly. I understand there is a language barrier, but how hard is it to smile? I found it hard not to smile while I was there.

You will not regret your choice!!!!

Geoman,

Sorry to be responding so last since our visit of 10/24-11/3 but returning from paradise is always difficult. We found everything to be as wonderful as our first visit back in 2004. We were taken wonderful care of and highly recommend returning.

As far as anything being changed- there are some areas that could use repainting- very minimal- will definitely not hinder your enjoyment. Yes, the story about the pool is true. Tiles are in abundance in the pool area and they really should resurface the pool in its entirety. The small tiles are really coming up. Of course the beach is fantastic so why anyone spends time at the pool is beyond me.

Return and enjoy! We couldn't have been happier with our trip, weather, service, and food.

Enjoy your trip!
