We are considering going to Jumby Bay off Antinqua in March and wanted to know if anyone has been there during their renovation and if they recommend it?

Does anyone recommend an "adults only" site in the Caribbean? We went to Coral Reef Club in Barbados last year in Feb and although it was "adults only" the water was disappointing.

Thanks,

Gail

Jumby Bay shut down completely through the renovations so I dont think anyone will have been there during them. Sorry

Paul McCartney went there recently, so it can't be too shabby! I had a look on the website and it looks beautiful. :-)

Crawley - tad pricey, but I agree beautiful. We flew back to Manchester in June with a couple who just spent 2 weeks at Jumby Bay, or they said that they were. So I should think it must be open. My husband needs to work harder, possibly a second job so that we could afford it!

Crawley - I think they have also villas perhaps not part of the hotel complex - even more pricier.

The private villas are operating, and the price to my knowledge includes food and facilities at the hotel part. I think it is the guestrooms that are closed for refurbishment mostly.

ainspeak, I think you are right, but even with food thrown in - not cheap, but beautiful. Paul McCartney must have been in these villas.

Thank you all for your timely responses. Can anyone recommend another "adults only" resort in the Caribbean that is of similar quality?

Gail

Gaille - I don't think Jumby Bay is adults only resort.

Apart from the obvious Sandals, which I would not recommend, you would not find many kids in Galley Bay or Carlisle Bay.

Thank you so much. I will check out they two. If you know of others anywhere else in the Caribbean, let me know and I will check them out as well.

We are going to St John, USVI in January and will be renting a house. We love the beaches in St John and would like to find others for March.
