We had very high hopes for this restaurant based on reviews, but were somewhat disappointed. First, the neighborhood has been described as “iffy”, but it is much worse. We went in the Summer so arrived and left in daylight. I would hate to be there at night. Valet parking (~$5) is available and highly recommended. Secondly, the food was good... more

So many things went wrong its is hard to begin. 1st they lost the reservation they had the name but no number (10) and no time. we were seated 1/2 hr later o.k. Then they were out of 3 of the specials, then they were out of 1 of the wines on the wine list but offered one at 30.00... more

For a birthday celebration we went to Nicola's. It was a warm, romantic, and impeccably designed space. (Old streetcar barn I believe.) The food was rich and contemporary yet authentically inspired Italian. I recommend using the valet to by-pass any hassle with parking in Over-the-Rhine.
