I had been to Corky Bells in the past, and was very satisfied - but today, was extremely disappointing. To begin with, the first thing I saw on my plate was a BUG ( possibly some kind of beetle) about the size of a dime, sitting on my lettuce leaf. It turned my stomach to say the least. I called... more

Corky's had a fire and when they reopened we all thought it would be as good as before. No I am afraid it is not. Gets crowded, service ok, fish satisfactory but nothing like Dixie Crossroads fish, yet prices not low. We shall try again as I have heard it has picked up recently (July 08) but it is also... more

My family and I went to this restaurant for the first time today. We weren't expecting much and were disappointed nonetheless. The restaurant is spacious and well lit inside. The staff courteous and the bathrooms clean. (The pretty seashell toilet seats are a hoot.) However, the meal we were served was mediocre at best. My husband was disappointed with his... more

We go to Corky Bells about every 4 months and we drive all the way from Orlando to eat there, then drive home. It takes about an hour to get there, an hour to eat, and an hour to drive home. It is worth every minute!! The fried scallops are to die for and I won't ever eat them anywhere... more

I tasted better at a greasy, fast-food place. I had great food there before while visiting my sister down here; but my take-out order on 5/25/08 @ 6 PM of froglegs & steak fries were soggy, limp, & tasteless. They did not the usaul crispy, tasty, coating or spices. In fact, the spuds had NO batter at all. Last time... more

We are a party of 3 on a Sat @ 2:30 P.M. no lines, seated asap & placed order. Ordered arrived promptly. Now the problems begin. Ice tea is hot, ask for additional ice/ received. Beer is warm? Fish tastes like out of a frozen Groton package! Ask for refill on ice tea/receive as before, "hot". Baked potaoe was over... more

I ordered mussels, the appetizer.....and for dinner, ordered catfish, slaw and baked potato. Guess what? I brought the fish, slaw and potato home, because the mussels appetizer was all I could handle.....delicious, good sized, and plenty of them....Our favorite waitress served us and took care of us, like family. I've been dining at Corky Bells for years...and sure did miss... more

As expected, the place was packed for Valentine's Day dinner. Surprisingly we only waited about 15 minutes to be seated. The waitress handles our drinks and appetizer, takes our order, order came 5-10 minutes later...and it was partially incorrect and missing one of my parties plates. We figured the waitress was bringing it since her first trip was with a... more
