biggest disappointment ever.we went here for my wife's 60th birthday.the waitress was a cross between manuel from fawlty towers and bubble from absolutely fabulous.the food was as near to vegetarian as you could get without actually saying so(plates piled with salad and a tiny portion of fish)we waited for our meal for 20-30 minutes while wondering who the salad on... more

REALLY good vegetarian samosa with mango sauce! (It's filled with purple sweet potato). Not terribly veggie friendly, but if you like fish, this is the place to go. Great desserts too. more

This place is set back from the hwy and has a great intimate atmosphere. If it looks empty as you approach it is because everyone is in the back in their beautiful outside patio area. You order when you walk in the have a seat. Everything on the menu looked great. We choose the Bella penne pasta with a cream... more

We ate at Caffé Coco on 7/22. We ate kind of early, so we did not have issues with the mosquitoes that other reviewers had. However, I'd point out that there is indoor seating as well. The dining area is, well, a little rustic. There are lots of different sized and shaped tables - all with plastic chairs – not... more

We had forgotten how good this restaurant is. We’ve been coming here on occasional Saturdays the last few years we’ve visited Kauai, to listen to a friend’s band, the Lost Pelican Band, play (they play Saturdays, and it’s free). We bring a bottle of wine ($5 corkage) and order pupus, but haven’t eaten dinner here for a couple of years.... more

This was the best dinner of our 10 days in Oahu and Kauai, tied with a meal at the famous Alan Wong's in Honolulu. We had Indian-style samosas cooked with the local purple potato, fillo dough and a wonderful homemade chutney for $4. A Thai-spiced pumpkin soup with egglplant and coconut milk, paired with homemade ginger lemonade were also perfectly... more

I'm tired of people making excuses for bad restaurants. Maybe laid-back service is what one is after on vacation, but not me. Perhaps the atmosphere is "cool" and charming, but having to apply mosquito repellant in order to avoid becoming an entree is no fun. This is mediocre food (some say poisonous) indifferently prepared and handled by folks that seem... more

Restaurant was extremely dirty, but I thought we would try the food. My daughter and husband both had the same entree, both became very ill and got food posioning. I notice the waitress handled money then used her hands to pick up my wrap and put it on the plate. I can only wonder what was going on in the... more

This was an interesting night. There was a duo playing music, which we always enjoy. There is bug spray on the tables for good reason. The mosquitoes back here will eat you up without it! I applied twice while we sat there, my husband didn't and ended up with a dozen bites the next morning. The menu is interesting. A... more

My husband and I took our teenage kids here while we where on spring break last week.(March 16-24) We love to go to off the beaten track kind of places, we had read reviews of Caffe CoCos and they were all really good. So going into it we knew it would be different, this is really different. We sat outside... more
