I have to start by admiting that I had been thinking about/reading about Jospeph's Table for quite some time, so my expectations were pretty high. I had especially been thinking about the "duck fat fries" which, if you are not familiar, are fries fried in duck fat and are usually the most heavenly indulgence you can imagine (see my review... more

In the La Fonda hotel on the south side of the plaza. We had a wonderful dinner there, one of the best of the trip. Service was very good, despite some other reviews to the contrary. The décor wasn’t to my taste due to floral painting on the walls and middle-eastern-looking “love shack” private booths in the back, but we... more

When the palenta fries are better than the foie gras, you have to wonder what's going on. We sat in one of the love shacks after being given the option of three. They each needed to be redone as the material on the wall was stained and old. The shacks have private curtains which the waiter kept forgetting to close.... more

We had a wonderful romantic dinner after three days of skiing. I had reserved the love-shack with "more foot space" a month in advance since I was concerned about my back bothering me after skiing. We were disappointed to arrive and find that someone else had been given that love shack, but we were offered many apologies and given another... more

The "Love Shack" rules! We had a quiet elopement celebration at Joseph's Table and found a new love in Taos. The Tuna starter was excellent, my duck was superb, and the chocolate quenelles were perfect with our Hendry Zin. Service from Jack was beyond reproach. It has been a while since we had service from someone who was so passionate... more

After a fabulous experience at Lambert's the night before, we were looking forward to another great meal. For a $360 bill for a table of four, you expect top notch. Instead service was slow, (almost 3 hours to complete meal), salads were served with greens only (no apples, cheese, walnuts, etc.) and worst of all, food came out lukewarm at... more

My wife and I spent our honeymoon traveling throughout New Mexico. Taos has been a destination I've wanted to go for many years. We came to Joseph's table for dinner on our first night in Taos. Sadly it was closed for a private party that evening. Joseph suggested another restaurant close by for us to dine. He then, asked "what... more

We went to Joseph's Table based on many recommendations from our colleagues. We went the evening of our anniversary. We like to dine at nice restaurants with neat atmospheres on special occasions, and do not mind paying a pretty penny for quality food and quality atmospheres. We reserved a "Love Shack" for our dinner. The atmosphere is nice--dim lighting, tastefully... more

The food at Joseph's Table was very decadent and presented with much attention to detail. I would have expected better service and timing from the kitchen for such a high priced menu. My mother and I split a 3-course meal -- without being looked down upon my the waiter. The elk with fois gras was AMAZING -- would have been... more
