This is one from my childhood. We would hit up this spot as a family every so often so that is how I see it, a family restaurant. The food is great and it has a loud friendly atmosphere. I wouldn't necessarily go there on a date though. more
People from outside Chicago should be aware that the City of Chicago closed Greek Islands this week for health code violations after reports that diners were sickened there. Mouse feces, fruit flies, poor food storage arrangements, etc., according to media reports. The restaurant has reopened. On the other hand, its problems might inconvenience the suburban mobs looking for a place... more
It's not as wonderful and Diana's Ophah of my youth (now closed) but it's very close. If you want to eat, drink and be merry. There's no better place than Chicago's Greektown Neighborhood. and if you like your waiters tall dark and handsome this place is Heaven on Earth more
