Overall a nice hotel and stay. We have stayed in Ritz-Carlton properties before and had a similar experience -- the staff is very helpful and polite at a level above other hotels (the only comparison has been the Four Seasons). The room, pool, and grounds were nice. As others mention, there is no airport noise at all. Help for beach... more

My husband and I live in NY and decided to have our destination wedding at the Ritz in San Juan, PR. Initially, we chose the Ritz because of it's ideal location and stellar reputation for service and exceeding expectations. Needless to say, our expectations were not even met, much less exceeded. Let me begin by saying that this was obviously... more

We stay at Ritz Carltons every time we travel. I agree with other reviewers that this particular property is not on par with other Ritz Hotels, despite the $700 p/night (very small and umimpressively appointed) room. The staff was accomodating enough, but not nearly as consistently cutomer-service oriented as the staff at a typical Ritz (and we're pretty low-maintenacce guests!).... more

The best thing about this hotel is the people! We stayed at the club level which I highly recommend. With drinks at $15 a pop at the hotel bar, the club level easily paid for itself. The staff in the club lounge was fantastic at taking special requests and giving information. Our room was beautiful, but housekeeping was sporadic. Definitely... more

My husband and I enjoyed a 5-day stay at the Ritz over the 4th of July weekend. We have stayed at other Ritz properties before, but this was our first time to Puerto Rico. We booked a standard room via the hotel's website and were upgraded to an ocean view room without asking. The rooms and grounds were not quite... more

Our stay at the Ritz Carlton was nice. The rooms were nice and comfortable and the staff was pleasant. Staying at a 5-star resort we expected that it would be expensive especially for mini-bar items ($5 for a Diet Coke, etc.) and the restaurant food ($20++ for continental breakfast). But the one think that we got upset about was the... more

We stayed at Ritz from Jul 01 to Jul 07 of 2008. The purpose of our trip was a destination wedding of a family member. There were 8 kids in our party, one of them belonging to us. Here's a quick summary and some suggestions: 1) We stayed at the club level and that saved us LOTS of money. The... more

My husband and I stayed at the ritz recently for a work retreat. I think that may have affected a few things that happened while we were there. this review may sound like I am complaining, but I just want everyone to know what to expect. It is a standard ritz property. It is nice, but nothing spectacular. So, if... more

We stayed for three nights at the Ritz in San Juan. As far as San Juan resorts and hotels go, this is about the best there is. The hotel is located about 1/2 a mile from the Airport. This makes it very close by if flying in, but also causes some airport noise to be heard in the resort. The... more
