Buyer beware. The beach at The Crane is incredible. It's somewhat secluded, big but not too big and had plenty of umbrellas and lounge chairs for everyone. First off, The Crane is in a magnificent setting - no matter where you look, the views and natural beauty are extraordinary. Secondly - the construction can either be no problem whatsoever - or unbelievably loud and annoying. My husband and I stayed at the Crane August 6-10. We had a one bedroom suite on the fourth floor and the view was breathtaking..overlooking the pool complex and the ocean. Stayed at Crane for 7 days. Have stayed at numerous nice resorts, so not a first for our family. Resort grounds are generally nice, but there is more gloss than deep shine. Construction noise not a real problem. The staff is friendly, they just don't get how to provide a level of service expected at a resort of this caliber... more
