Stayed here four nights during business/pleasure trip. Learned from staff that the hotel was originally apartment complex for students built in 1924. The hotel is currently being renovated floor by floor. I did not see any construction during my Fri-Tuesday stay however. The outside was very nice but once I got inside, I knew I was in for it. As soon as we walked into the room everything was run down. Ignore the negative reviews. I stayed here recently because their room rates were dramatically lower than everywhere else in town. My room faced the courtyard and appeared remodelled. A sink, microwave, and refrigerator were a plus.
