Observations from my two night stay at this hotel in May 2008: Pubic hair stuck in the towel from a previous guest. Rust on the towel rack. Thin, old bath towels. Stains on the carpet. Stains around the toilet seat. Smell of old smoke and older food in the dark, dank, hallways. Clear snoring sounds from the room next door.... more

Hotel is now completely remodeled and is very nice, pool is inviting, hottub is relaxing, everything works, a very nice place to stay. more

Convenient to the I-5, quiet neighbourhood, better than average comp breakfast (liked the hard-boiled eggs and waffles). Usual motel decor but clean. Be sure to pick up a 15% discount card at a rest stop on the way. more

I stayed at the Shilo Inn-Downtown Vancouver while attending a seminar and was extremely happy. The property is IMMACULATE, the staff was extremely efficient, courteous and knowledgeable. We are from Granbury, TX...We have been coming to the Shilo Inn/HazelDell for 2 years now...We ask for a specific room...right off the lobby..close to the coffee and homemade cookies! I would like to strongly recommend the Shilo Inn - Downtown Vancouver. I have stayed here many times. The staff is courteous and helpful. The hotel is very clean and the room is a great value compared to the competition. more
