Oh my gosh! This was just the oddest hotel stay. It seemed more like a college dorm than a hotel, but it was quiet, clean and comfortable, located a quick cab ride to where ever, and at $159 plus tax, one of the best values downtown Baltimore has to offer. At that price, I didn't mind pulling the empty plastic... more

I stayed at this hotel for one night as a place to crash after the red sox orioles game. It was the cheapest hotel available within walking distance(although the walk was through a sketchy area). I heard the hotel did renovations recently and i could tell the hotel lobby was updated, but as for the rooms the only visible updates... more

We'd read some iffy reviews of the Mount Vernon, but all the Inner Harbor hotels were booked. Thank goodness they were! The Mount Vernon recently underwent a renovation--the rooms are comfortable and neat, the staff was ever-smiling and helpful, and the rates were half that of the big hotel chains by the Inner Harbor. I lived in Baltimore many years... more

Well, I booked the Mount Vernon to stay for two nights, just my boyfriend and I on our road trip adventure. We started in NYC and finished in Key West, did a LOT in between! We wanted a hotel in Balitmore as our base to see both Washington DC and Baltimore. DC is VERY expensive hotel wise in comparison with... more

We have stayed in this hotel six times since Sept. 2007. They were remodeling when we first stayed but had no problems. It is not a great hotel but the staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. We love the location. It is close to Peabody Conservatory of Music (which my nephew attends) and is very close to many... more

When we arrived at the hotel, check-in was quick and easy. However, we got into the room and it was smelly and muggy. We immediately went to turn the A/C on and, after about 30 minutes, noticed that the air conditioner was not blowing cool air out. This was our first contact to the front desk. They apologized and told... more

After reading all the negatives reviews, I was expecting the worst! Hotel and staff was clean, friendly, helpful. Decent price for location. Used the light rail, two blocks down, to get to Camden Yards, $6.00 round trip. Couldn't get a cab. more

I found this hotel to be clean, comfortable, and convenient. It’s in the heart of the Mount Vernon section of Baltimore and many cultural attractions and restaurants are in walking distance. I arrived about 9pm and the hotel parking was full. There is a parking garage across the street, but I chose to park on Charles Street as it was... more

Ended up at the Mt Vernon after Days Inn Inner Harbor did not honor my reservation. Mt Vernon is a bit older and one elevator was under repair during my stay. My room was nice, but small. The TV channel line up was limited, but surprising has ShowTime included. They do have free WiFi (not secure) which was quite strong... more

Our stay at the Mount Vernon Hotel was excellent! Although it is about a 12-15 minute walk to the harbor and convention center, the hotel was by far the best value I could find in the area. It is an older building, but that gives it a lot of charm and interest. It is beautifully decorated in the main entrance... more
