This was the second time I have stayed at the Crown Plaza with my family. We are a family of 5 so we actually got two connecting rooms. The staff was very friendly, although the parking attendants aren't the sharpest tools in the shed!! The rooms were very clean, although the bathrooms are rather small. Pros:We went to Philadelphia (first time) for a quick weekend trip and got this hotel for $65 a night on Priceline. That was a great price for this hotel. I stayed in the Crowne Plaza for a week, while in the city on business. Reading the earlier reports about the noise, all I can say is “take the ear plugs” if you intend to be there during the day, In fact the hotel must now realise what the noise is like as they leave ear plugs on your bed!!... more

The location is pretty good, but you will need public transport or taxi`s to get to the historic areas, or the Museum of Art (aka The Rocky Steps). WARNING: This hotel is renovating its elevators and the adjacent parking garage is under construction. If you are considering staying here - that garage work means unbelievably loud drilling/jack hammers starting at 8AM each weekday and continuing pretty much uninterrupted until at least 3PM.
