I very last minute needed a hotel in Philadelphia for one night after a problem with flights. I booked this hotel the same day as I required the stay. Hotel prices were very expensive possibly because it was a Saturday night. I paid £125 for a room and that was the cheapest available (excluding airport hotels). I felt this was... more

Stayed here during a quick stay to Phili and found the hotel quite good. It is located right in the middle of the city within walking distance to all the attractions. Very good location to get the trains to and from the city. more

We were visiting Philly for my nephew's graduation from Penn. After scouring tripadvisor.com and various hotel websites, I finally found a great price for this hotel ($149/night government rate +$20 tax/night + $40parking/night). Beware when booking this far in advance, however, as I booked less than a month before the trip while my sister booked the same hotel last October... more

I've stayed at the Courtyard two previous times. Rooms have been recently updated--the beds are so comfy. Staff is pleasant and attentive. Just be warned...I was the chaperone of a middle school group. We took up over 30 rooms on two floors, with poor souls not connected to our group interspersed between us. There were two other school groups in... more

Had a 7 a.m. flight and I was supposed to stay near the Philadelphia Airport at the Marriott Residence Inn, but somehow they were overbooked and I was "walked" to the Courtyard Downtown. I was actually delighted as this gave me a chance to see Downtown Philadelphia for the first time. Very solid hotel, not opulent but very nice, with... more

Most of the reviews are accurate for this hotel. It is in a great location and offers an excellent rate considering it's in the heart of a major city. The staff was very friendly and helpful even though the hotel was considered to be at "sold out status." My only complaint, which is not limited to this hotel, is that... more

We stayed on a Sunday night as we had an early AM appointment at Jefferson Hospital. We were on the 15th floor overlooking city hall and had a great view of the city--especially beautiful after dark! Since it was a Sunday evening, the hotel was not full and service was very good. We ate in the restaurant as we didn't... more

Just returned from a 3-day business trip to Philadelphia. I booked last minute for a very reasonable price. The hotel is in a restored historical building. The room was fine, good desk and chair, free internet (cable), excellent bed, morning paper, bath room small but OK, no safe in the room. I didn't try the breakfast as there are many... more

We were in philly for a quick one night tour and booked this hotel. I've stayed at many courtyards in CA but none were anything like this with a very impressive lobby. Room was beautiful, I think on the 10th floor or so with really great appoinments and a killer view of City hall and across the city and literally... more

I recently stayed at the Courtyard while attending a conference at the convention center. Located just a few blocks away, there was no need for catching cabs back and forth, which was a definite plus. As for the hotel itself, it is a beauty. The conversion to a hotel was a resounding success and it, as many others have stated,... more
