We stayed here for the holiday weekend, we wanted somewhere that was fairly central. Our main concern when booking was that it was clean, easy to get to attractions, and fairly cheap, as the only time we would be spending here was to sleep. Although the hotel was busy and there was a wedding taking place the staff were polite... more

We were in California on vacation for a week. We spent the first half in San Francisco and the second in San Diego. We really liked this hotel. Their shuttle will come and pick you up from the airport for free(you will have to pay for the shuttle to take you back but it's cheaper than a taxi). The staff... more

We stayed there for a 4 day Get-Away Trip on the Memorial Day Weekend. The staff was outstanding friendly, gave tips and information what to do without even asking, the reception hall is pleasent and bright. The room size is absolutely perfect and has modern interior. The bathroom was small comparing to the rest of the room but still okay.... more

We spent one night at the Doubletree Hotel San Diego-Mission Valley and enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel is located on somewhat of a dead end street in a very nice, upscale neighborhood. The San Diego trolley has a station stop just across the street making it very easy to get around town. Also, there are two large shopping... more

I would describe the hotel a standard hotel with standard amenities. We received warm cookies on arrival but they were way too sweet and did not make up for the sticker shock of $14 per day for self-parking . We are talking about a place outside the heart of San Diego next to the highway ... (And I am used... more

I booked this hotel for the location and positive TripAdvisor reviews, and very glad I did. Because some reviews mentioned freeway noise, I requested the "quiet side" of the hotel, and was happy to receive a room facing away from Highway 163. We were also upgraded to an Executive room with a balcony at no extra charge. The balcony isn't... more

Absolutely loved the whole experience. Of course there were positives & negatives just like any other hotel, but overall very satisfied! Positives: directly across the street from trolley station (paid $12 for a three day pass that got us unltd trolley & bus and we went all over), located in a nice quiet area, incredibly friendly and helpful staff (really... more

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. We wanted to stay at a nice hotel with a few amenities like a spa, restaurant, etc. We arrived early so were not upset when our room wasn't ready. They gave us warm cookies and we waited in the lobby. The room was pretty standard but very clean and professional. The... more

We were a family of 15 (including 7 young children) who stayed here for 4 nights. Although the hotel is a little tired and the bathrooms are in need of refurbishment, the staff made our stay so enjoyable. I would especially like to pay tribute to Kirk on the front desk. What a delightful young man. We all had a... more

Booked 2 nights stay while touring USD with our college bound daughter. I prefer to stay at four star hotels where available. After much web searching, reading reviews, etc, I decided not to stay downtown (not in the partying stage of life now!) due to noise and bars. For me all areas of San Diego are a short drive so... more
