We had made reservations for two rooms for 3 nights several months before our trip with another couple. When we arrived, no-one was at the desk, finally a not too friendly gentleman came out and asked what we wanted. We gave him our confirmation number, he looked at a book (evidently NO computer in this place) and claimed he had... more

If you are looking for a budget hotel in a safe location, this is it. They have free parking available which is probably what you wanna do in San Francisco. Park the car and take their public transportation to sightsee. The hotel room is decent though you might want to wear your shoes in the room. Carpet doesn't look too... more

We asked for the smallest room and got it. Beware of what you ask for ;-) However, the room was very clean and comfortable, and the price reasonable. The staff was friendly and courteous. Free on-site parking in San Francsico is a definite plus. The tasty Continental breakfast and complimentary paper are nice touches, as is the free wi-fi. This... more

We have stayed at this wonderful little motel many times over the past 20 years, and we have always had a great experience. This quaint little hotel is in the perfect location, located just about on the corner of Union and Van Ness. It is perfectly located to visit Coit Tower, Lombard Street, Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, The Maritime Museum,... more

This is the last hotel we stayed in during our recent US trip in June. The inn is a simple set-up, but the friendly service is what impressed me. The room we stayed in has an attached kitchen, but there is no coin-op laundry facilities, which is very rare in San Francisco hotel. Anyway, since we are going back home... more

We always stay at this motel and love it. My daughter and husband live in the area but we like to have our own accommodation. They have been wonderful there. As a matter of fact when my daughter got married several years ago we booked up most of the rooms for out of town guests. They were all very pleased.... more

We've stayed here many times because they "always" accomodate and kept watch on our poodle. This is an above average hotel, a little aged, not 1st class, but always clean and the staff is MORE THAN ACCOMODATING. Anyone who has a problem with staff here has their own problems, guaranteed! If you want Sheraton/Hyatt Regency/Fairmont type accomdations, stay there and... more

An absolute nightmare. There are scores of other hotels and motels in the area that you can stay in, in stead of this one. The staff was insulting and verbally abusive to my girlfriend. Our wake-up call never happened, they tried to double charge my credit-card, our room was the size of a walk-in closet, and to top it off... more

We chose this hotel for a trip for 4 adults. They have a 2-room suite that seemed like a great deal at $135 a night, with free parking--we had been looking at other properties where parking could be up to $45 a night, so this was a real bonus. Plus, the location is great for those who (like us) do... more
