The Parsonage is an architectural treasure in the heart of San Francisco's historic Hayes Valley, within easy walking distance of the opera house and some of the city's most dynamic restaurants. The elegant bedrooms have excellent queen beds, multiple pillows, superior linens, a marble shower, and good light; some have working fireplaces and/or views; one has a Victorian claw-footed bathtub. With superb access to public transportation, it is within blocks of highway 101, and walking distance of BART. more » « less

It was my pleasure to be able to spend a 3-day weekend at The Parsonage, conveniently located in the Hayes Valley area of San Francisco, CA. The Bed & Breakfast itself is magnificant & the furnishings extremely comfortable. I would reserve here in the future! more

San Francisco has been at the top of the list as a place we wanted to visit and explore but we have never been able to find an inspiring place to stay and so have deferred a visit until this summer when we had the good fortune to fine the Parsonage. The experience of being in this beautiful house and... more

This must be the best place to stay in SF if you have any brain cells. A Victorian house with period furniture, a feast for the senses. Great breakfasts with daily freshly prepared specialities. Ariel (our host) represented the hippy spirit of 60's that money can't buy. Large round breakfast table to share experiences with fellow guests. There's more -... more

The Parsonage is a wonder. The property is absolutely beautiful and the management is attentive and friendly. Ariel was running things during our stay and she is a delight. From the tasty breakfasts to her tips on getting around the city, she handled everything with warmth and charm. The photos of the property do not do it justice. Every room... more

My husband and I stayed at The Parsonage for two nights. We had the best time. The hosts, John and Joan, are fabulous. They really make you feel welcome. The breakfasts each morning were delicious. We really enjoyed them. We are foodies so we especially appreciated the extra effort that was put into this wonderful morning meal. Our room was... more

We booked at the Parsonage because almost every hotel room in SF was booked. The property is a lovely victorian house in the Haight area of SF. I particularly liked having easy access to public transportation, and both the Civic Center and Castro were in walking distance (if you are a avid walker!). We booked the large room on the... more

We stayed at the Parsonage for our 5th anniversary and I can't think of a better venue for a romantic getaway. Joan and John, the Parsonage's hosts, are gracious, knowledgeable and considerate. Breakfast, served in the elegant muraled dining room, was excellent both mornings - sourdough waffles served with a light maple syrup, fresh grapefruit and sausages one morning; fresh... more

We stayed at the Parsonage over the Thanksgiving holiday and booked the small apartment that is in the basement of the B&B. The apartment has a separate entrance, which was very nice when we arrived back to the inn late a night. The apartment is equipped with a small kitchen, a futon, and small drop-leaf table. The bedroom is furnished... more

Really enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and clean. Beds very comfortable. Breakfasts were strictly four star. Location was fairly quiet and convenient to BART, bus lines, shopping, etc. A definite recommendation. more

The Parsonage B&B is housed in a wonderful 1883 Victorian building emblematic of the architecture of this great city. It is in a fine location, close to residential neighborhoods like Haight-Ashbury, the Mission District, Castro and Hayes Valley, as well as convenient to mass transit, including Market Street bus and streetcar lines. Our recent 6-day stay was in many ways... more
