A lovely hotel. Very trendy and friendly! Great location, it is worth going to the 7th floor and onto the terrace for the view of the Oakland Bridge. Be warned, on a weekend the bar is very popular with the locals and gets very busy! more

My sister and I stayed at the hotel to celebrate her birthday. Celebration also included the treatment at the hotel spa and dinner at a hotel recommended restaurant. I chose the hotel primarily because of the great reviews it had received here at TripAdvisor. The room was great. We were upgraded at check in so the room had great view... more
Overall, the stay at Vitale was excellent. Friend and I stayed there from June 1st to June 5th. Location is really good, rooms are clean, comfortable and nice. Nice feature is the roof top terraces. Good restaurants nearby, and the light rail station is just around the corner of the hotel. Very convienent to take as it goes down market... more
This place is somewhat of a hidden gem - or at least that's the impression I got. It's in all the guide books etc but just appears totally unfussy and just what you need in SF; relaxing, friendly, comfy. The location gets some stick but I think it's perfect. Firstly, getting there from the airport is so easy. You can... more
We stayed at the Hotel Vitale for the weekend, staying in a Panoramic Suite. Try to request the highest floor available. We overlooked the Bay Bridge and the farmers market on Saturday morning at the Ferry Plaza. It was absolutely wonderful! The location was perfect for us, we could walk Market St and the Embarcadero. Boulevard, my favorite restaurant in... more
My brother lives in S.F and recommended this place. The location is fantastic, located across the street from the Ferry Building, which is full of great local food vendors and a farmers market on Saturdays. The hotel was what we expected when paying $350+ a night. We had a 2nd floor room that looked out onto Mission St. and the... more
Stayed at Vitale at Urban Studio room and from the moment I entered hotel till the moment I left I really enjoyed this hotel! The room has a different layout, great deep soaking tub, separate shower and great cosmetic products. The hotel has a really relaxing atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and welcoming! No arrogancy or attitude, just true... more
We stayed there on May 7 for just one night. Great location near the Embarcadero and Fisherman's Wharf. We arrived early (10:30 a.m.), intending to drop off our bags and check out the Wharf, but were pleasantly surprised to be taken right up to our room. The hotel was stylish, and the front desk and housekeeping staff were friendly and... more
I stayed at the Hotel Vitale for two nights in late April on a business trip. The hotel is warm and welcoming, with comfortable wood finishes throughout. My room had a very comfortable bed, a usable desk, ample storage space and was very quiet, despite being located in a very busy area, Mission between the Embarcadero and Steuart. The hotel's... more
We spent a week at Hotel Vitale. The service was friendly and helpful. The rooms and decor were upscale, contemporary, sleek and lovely. We were there as a family of three, and room was a little dangerous for a toddler based on the sophisticated furnishings. (The huge wall length mirror with ledge perfect size for climbing made us very nervous.)... more
