Just finished my first week on the West Coast. Based on a referral from a co-worker, we chose to stay at the Parker. Upon arriving, Richard and the crew were very nice and attentive in explaining to us the rules of the grounds, when breakfast was served, the wine social, etc. We had a King room upstairs with a window... more

I stayed at the Parker the first week in March, 2008, after having read the reviews on TripAdvisor and getting a referral from an acquaintance who had stayed there once before. I had stayed at only one other guesthouse prior to this visit (Big Ruby's in Key West, Florida) and so I was very careful to do my research before... more

The Parker Guest House is a wonderful place to stay. The staff are friendly and helpful, the house and rooms are wonderful, and the breakfast and happy hour are a great way to meet other fellow travelers. The location is very close to public transportation and many restaurants are within walking distance! I can't wait to visit them again! more

My family were doing a PCH roadtrip in late May 2007. My sister, her partner & my parents were driving down from OR. My husband & I were flying into SF from overseas a day before they all met us to continue our journey down the coast. I wanted to find a home away from home place with a lovely... more

I stayed at the Parker the last few days of 2007 and first few of 2008. I had an excellent time and Bill and Bob (the owners/hosts) made it a perfect stay. The room was excellent, right off the kitchen and, since I'm an early riser, perfect for that break-of-dawn cup of coffee, and the bed was super soft. I... more

We booked into the Parker Guest House with only 2 days notice and selected a queen size room with ensuite for a 6 day stay. I asked for one of the rooms not at the front (based on feedback from this web site re: the noise from trolly cars) and received a lovely room downstairs at the back. The whole... more

Winter in SF is usually wet and cold. This year was no exception. However, the Parker made my trip worthwhile and enjoyable. Facility is first-rate. Staff is welcoming and willing to accomodate. Neighborhood has plenty of good restaurants and access to public transportation. One caveat, don't book a room facing the street, there is a tram line right in front! more

The Parker Guest House is a beautiful place to get away to San Francisco and experience the "Big City" while stille being able to relax and unwind at night. The hotel is well run, friendly staff, amazingly clean with very comfortable beds and well decorated rooms. The wonderfully landscaped gardens create an Oasis in the heart of San Francisco. Just... more

This was my first stay at the Parker. I planned it for the end of my recent CA business trip in which I stayed two nights and found the experience enjoyable. I have no major complaints except something I didn't expect was how noise travels... the walls are not that thick and I could hear hallway doors closing and some... more
