My family and I stayed for three nights in August. Our main attraction was Acadia. Overall the place is below the standards of most Best Western we stayed at. The room we had felt dusty and lacking in a microwave and refrigerator. We had no problem with the check-In desk and the souvenirs were nice. The couches and lounge area... more

This hotel is very basic. The beds are not comfortable, they need to replace the mattresses. The shower worked well and the breakfast was adequate. more

Breakfast is adequate...clean room to eat in. First time we stayed here, the supplies were all USED by previous customers, i.e., open shampoo bottle, etc. YUCK. The second time, the desk rep had REMOVED a queen bed when we asked for a microwave! We got there and only had one bed for 4 people!!! The staff were not helpful and... more

Lets see, what could go wrong. First lets try a broken air conditioner. They actually nice enough to move us to a new room after the air conditioner stopped working. Second would be no water. The hotel water system went down and we were unable to use the bathroom or shower on the day we were due to check out.... more

Stayed at the BW for one night and it was okay. Was fairly comfortable and relatively clean; very basic (and no hair dryer). Was outside of, but close to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. We were concerned because the water wasn't getting very hot the first night (but by the next morning for showers, it was fine. It had... more

Just came back from Bar Harbor, stayed in the Best Western Inn for one night. The room is clean, neat and the bed is comfertable but is little soft for me. It is close to Acadia national park but little bit far away from the Bar Harbor city. The breakfast is too basic. Overall it is not bad. more

After reading some of the reviews for this motel, I was very nervous about staying here. While the room were old, they were very large and clean. The pool area was not amazing, but more than adequate. The breakfast wasn't bad. My only complaint was that the bed was covered in old bedspreads. The mattress was okay. The location of... more

Despite other comments we are very pleased about this location. The room was very clean and in very good condition. The hotel is currently under renovation. We had a double bed room at the far end from the road - very quiet. Only the free breakfast is somehow what is always served in the US as Cont. Breakfast - we... more

With my wife and my son, 7 years old, we had a one night stop at the Best Western Bar Harbor in July. This motel is situated outside the crowded town of Bar Harbor, and is surrounded by the forest. All the buildings are made of brown wood, which confers a pleasant style to the whole. When we arrived, our... more

We stayed 2 nights in the Best Western. The motel offers exactly what you need to visit Acadia National Park during a New England Trip: a clean bed, another bed for luggage, close to the park's main entrance, a free, simple breakfast, a loundry facility, a couple of miles from Bar Harbor city/village where we spend the two evenings. more
