Not a bad place to stay. Doing construction now for a new pub onsite so lots of construction debris laying around the property. The owner is nice, he has a friendly dog, and the room we stayed in ($99+ tax) was clean and confortable. Good: location to the ski trails, near plenty of dinner dining choices, friendly owner, nice bed.... more

We stayed at the Cable Nature Lodge in January of 2008 for a week long cross-country ski vacation. The place is charming, comfortable and relaxing. We had the most excellent skiing there. I highly recommend Cable Nature Lodge if you want to get away from real life. The lodge is about 3.5 hours from Minneapolis so it's a reasonable drive for the weekend.
