The hotel is beautiful. We were told that happy hour was from 5:30-6:30 & drinks were complimentary. We went to the bar & each ordered a cocktail. We were given a bill-prices were reasonable but not free as we were told. We questioned it & the bartender told us that draft beer & certain wines were complimentary. We did comment... more

Thank you for taking time to provide us with some feedback. We are pleased to offer “Mag Time” with complimentary breakfast, happy hour (beer and wine), and late-night cookies & milk. We’re disappointed that the front desk did not accurately communicate about Mag Time, and we have been sure to talk with them so they are in the know. Our...

We booked online thru the hotel's website and printed the confirmation. But there was no record of it when we showed up. Fortunately there were other rooms available. There is a fee for the internet service. I had called and asked and was told it was free. With a little pushing they did give me a day for free. I... more

I had high hopes for this hotel and had wanted to stay here for sometime. The lobby is beautifully decorated and the continential breakfast is better than others but- there is one thing you should know... The rooms are not sound proof. When your neighbor flushes the commode or takes a shower - you hear it! All night long!! The... more

My 70-year young mother and I stayed at Magnolia over Memorial Day weekend as a mother-daughter holiday. We were not informed that the club level was under construction and everything was moved to the rather bland 3rd floor. They need to do some decorating to make it warm and inviting. The area for breakfast, reception, and cookies is bare and... more

We stayed at the Magnolia for a Saturday night while we were in Dallas. Our experience was wonderful and I would definitely go back. The free continental breakfast is delicious and has quite a variety. The milk and cookies were just perfect. Our room was comfortable and clean. I think it is worth the price. Definitely call ahead for valet... more

I stayed at the Magnolia with family for a wedding at the Adolphus (didn't want to pay $300+ for a room). Though the complimentary happy hour and breakfast buffet are pluses, I would prefer that the hotel put more money into upkeep and less into free food and drink. I believe we were on the 19th floor and instead of... more

The complimentary Contential Breakfast was one of the best ever. Plenty of food and a yummy variety were served. Also, I enjoyed the complimentary wine and beer service in the afternoon. The hotel is easy to spot from a distance (the Pegasus on top of the hotel) but in rush hour traffic, with all the distractions, it could use improved... more

Rooms looked very worn. First suite we were given the sofa was stained, the pillows on the sofa and bed were stained. There were black hand prints on the wall. The floors in the bathroom & kitchen looked filthy. We requested another suite, and the second one was better...........but still looked very worn..........The hotel needs some serious upgrading, especially for the... more

I showed up early - like 8AM. They got my room and I stashed my rent-a-car with the valet and was off to the office by 8:30. Over the past several weeks I've stayed in a suite and a couple different rooms here. All were reasonably appointed ,clean and comforable. while the building was old, the plumbing worked great and... more

My husband and I booked a room at the Magnolia Hotel in Downtown Dallas for one night with the intention of having a night of relaxation and peace and quiet away from the kids. When we got to our room which was right next to the elevator, you could actually hear the elevators moving up and down the shaft over... more

Thanks for your feedback. We are disappointed that you did not have a relaxing stay. We can not accept responsibility for noise that is a result from our downtown surroundings; downtown is a vibrant, happening place to be, and as is true with all metropolitan areas, sometimes it may be noisy. This particular case sounds like a rare incident of...
