Somebody else called the Gordon House “The only thing we could find” and gave a mere two stars. I don't know what they were expecting. True, there are no uniformed bellboys and neither is there a salon with a piano trio playing for afternoon tea. But maybe you're like me and have no wish to pay for such things. I... more

We arrived in Wimborne Minister at dinner time after a long day. Hadn't booked ahead as we didn't know where we'd end up that day. This was the only place we could find that had a room for 2 nights in October after calling on several others. It was OK. Rather worn out, but clean. Owners helpful, but not overly... more
