We arrived exhausted after a day of travel and did not notice the full extent of our dirty rooms until it was too late to change our plans. Cobwebs, torn wallpaper, moldy and cracked bath tubs/sinks and filthy carpets greeted us. It was so dirty that we left without eating the "complimentary" breakfast. This Inn is so dirty that we... more

RUNNNN!!!!!!!!! Do NOT stay at this Here! A No-Tel motel on the south side of Phoenix is better than this place. Very dirty- wait, that was not accurate. My wife said she would rather lick the toilets at Wal-mart than stay at this place again. more

This B&B is in poor condition and is dirty. Myself (and every other guest who was there at the time) had "mix-ups" with our online reservations. I'm not sure if this is a regular mode of operation but it appeared to be. Do NOT stay here. more

My husband and I stayed in Knoxville at the Maplehurst Inn for our 5 year wedding anniversary. We adore this quaint inn. When Sonny found out it was our anniversary, he left a bottle of champagne in our room. We stayed in the penthouse suite, we loved it there. My parents suggested we stay at the Maplehurst Inn because they... more

I would like to thank Sonny, the Innkeeper/Host/Owner of the Maplehurst Inn in Knoxville Tennessee . It was a week like no other in our lives. We threw a dart at a map for a casual one night stay and ended up making a family like friendship that we will to keep precious for all our days. Thank you Sonny... more

WARNING--DON"T check in!!!!! I am taking my time to warn all travelers not to stay at this place! Please read all the reviews for the Maplehurst Inn and pay close attention to the consistent complaints. As we arrived at the B&B, it was disappointing in the outside appearance (vines grown up on the house & shrubs overgrown, trashy looking) and... more

Agree completely with the last reviewer...needs repairs and a dust rag...overpriced for mediocre rooms and food. Great location, but many things broken, dirty and dusty...not so good... more

Where do I begin but describing this as the "Bates" motel. Upon arriving, the room I was given had a 3-ft. leak in the ceiling. Sonny, the propietor, told me that it had been fixed and was not currently leaking. Not true. I gathered 2 inches of water over the course of 8 hours. The room smelled of must and... more

I'm from the Jersey Shore---I went to school in Chicago---I loved Chicago, but the mid-west was culture shock---that was 25 years ago---I was reluctant to go to Knoxville, fearing another "mid-west culture shock adventure"---I was so wrong---I, largely, in part, to the incredible hospitality of the host of the Maplehurst Inn, on W. Hill Street, am now moving to Knoxville,... more

The Maplehurst Inn is one of the few large private dwellings still remaining in downtown Knoxville, TN, that was built in the First World War era. For me this 11 room B&B recaptured the feel of my grandmothers old house in Georgia. The high-ceilinged rooms have been updated somewhat to accomodate modern bathrooms and beds. Breakfast gave us an opportunity... more
